Taipei Zoo is one of the top ten city zoos in the world. It can be reached by MRT Wenhu Line. There are more than 400 animal species in the park, the largest zoo in Southeast Asia.
The display areas in the zoo are Formosan Animal Area, Children's Zoo, Insectarium, Education Center, Koala House, Panda House (Xinguang Special Exhibit House), Asian Tropical Rainforest Area, Desert Animal Area, Australian Animal Area, African Animal Area, Bird World, Amphibian and Reptile House, Temperate Zone Animal Area, Penguin House, etc., You will be able to see those animals which are not easily seen in our daily life here. Through professional and detailed guided tour, you will further understand the living environment and habits of animals. It is good for education, conservation research and leisure.
The zoo is an educational museum with life diversity, and it serves multi-purposes. It is a conservation area for wildlife animals as well as a rich and intellectual tourist attraction for the public.

Taipei Zoo Entry Methods:Taipei Zoo has two entrances: one is the main entrance, and the other is the South Station entrance.
① Taipei Zoo main entrance:Please proceed to channels 7, 8, 9 (depending on the actual open channels on-site), and use the automatic ticket-checking machine to Scan the "Taipei Zoo Admission Ticket" in the Taiwan PASS using the automatic ticket gate to enter.


② Taipei Zoo South Station Entrance:Proceed to the entrance of the Taipei Zoo's south station, Scan the "Taipei Zoo Admission Ticket" in the Taiwan PASS using the automatic ticket gate to enter.
※ As the Taipei Zoo's south station only provides a shuttle service to the bird park station for the visitor train and has no pedestrian route, those without a train ticket can pay an additional cash fee of NT$5 per person on-site.

※Taipei Zoo is closed on the Lunar New Year's Eve and late June. Please contact us for further information before visit (10 days off from 2020/6/15).
Zoo Notices:
- The whole zoo is non-smoking (The offender can be fined up to NT$10,000 since July 11, 2009).
- Pets and inflatable balloons are prohibited in the zoo.
- Bicycles, toddler tricycles, skateboards and in-line skates are prohibited in the zoo.
- It is prohibited to cross the railings and enter the animal areas.
- It is prohibited to enter the work areas and the tourist bus lanes.
- Do not feed the animals.
- No food in each indoor display area.
- Do not feed the animals, harm the animal rights and hinder animal conservation.
- Do not conduct behaviors that affect the interests of other visitors and the quality of the zoo.
※Taipei Zoo is an environment that combines natural landscapes and habitat for many wildlife animals and insects. It is recommended to wear breathable clothing such as long sleeves and trousers!
※It is recommended to wear casual shoes that are easy to walk. If prevention of sun exposure and mosquito bites is needed, please bring your own sunscreen and mosquito-proof products.
※Flashlight is prohibited in the indoor display areas such as the Panda House (Xinguang Special Exhibit House), Koala House, Amphibian and Reptile House, and the Conservation Corridor.
